Steve Puntenney, President

Steve obtained his BS in Animal Science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and then worked for 2 decades in the animal feed business before beginning a private practice in the Pacific Northwest as a dairy consultant. He completed his PhD in Nutrition at Oregon State in 2005. Steve was raised on a cattle ranch in Northern California and loves working with cattle.

Neil Forsberg, Vice-President

Neil received his BS and MSc degrees in Animal Science at the University of Manitoba and then completed a PhD in Nutrition at UC Davis in 1983. He completed post-doctoral work at Cornell before joining the faculty at Oregon State in 1985. Prior to joining OmniGen, he was a professor of animal science with interests in growth biology and immunology.

Yongqiang Wang, Chief Scientist

Yongqiang received BS and MS degrees in Animal Sciences in China before moving to the United States in 2001 to begin a PhD program at Oregon State University. He completed his PhD in 2005 and joined OmniGen Research shortly thereafter. His expertise resides in molecular biology and immunology.

Angela Rowson, Research Veterinarian

Angie received both BS and DVM degrees from Iowa state University and worked as a large animal (dairy) veterinarian in central California prior to Joining OmniGen Research. Angie coordinates large- and small-animal trial protocols on OmniGen-AF and other products throughout the US. Angie originates from Iowa and loves the mid-West.

Tyler Schell, Research Trial Manager

Tyler received a BS degree in general science at Oregon State University in 2009 and works in both Corvallis and in Eastern Oregon to coordinate large- and small-animal research studies. Tyler was raised on a cattle ranch in Klamath Falls, OR and hopes to become a veterinarian.

Jennifer Branson, Research Technician

Jennifer received a BS degree in Zoology at Oregon State University in 2008 and works to support diagnostics within the OmniGen labs. Jennifer originates from Spokane and is fluent in sign language.

Tessa Maggiuli, Veterinary Intern

Tessa is currently enrolled as a 3rd-year DVM student at Oregon State University. She supports OmniGen by conducting molecular-based (qRT-PCR) assays. In her part-time, she raises champion dairy goats (Lamancha and Saanen).
